WRC is excited to announce our newest program: Game Changers!
Game Changers is a program for teens who have witnessed violence in the home. The program was developed at the direct request of teens and their mothers, who wanted options for teens who did not want to give in to the social pressures of their peers, and who wanted to create a support system that shared their values of healthy relationships and nonviolence.
Game Changers offers several activities per week for teens that promote physical and emotional wellness, life skills, and allowing teens to have fun outside the confines of peer pressure and school and family responsibilities. Programming includes four key components: Peace Education, Community Engagement, Life Skills, and Fun!
Game Changers is funded by the DeKalb County Youth Safety & Violence Prevention Grant Initiative.
