Thank you, Decatur Living, for highlighting the impact of the Love Run 5KÂ and the incredible community that comes together each year to support survivors of domestic violence.
For over a decade, Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence has been honored to be the beneficiary of this powerful event, organized by DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston. Each year, the Love Run 5K not only raises critical funds for our work but also brings awareness to the urgent need for safety, support, and prevention.
With every step, our community shows up for survivors—helping us provide emergency shelter, legal advocacy, counseling, and education. We’ve heard so many moving stories from runners and walkers who have a personal connection to our mission, and we are deeply grateful for the support that allows us to continue standing beside survivors on their journey to safety and healing.
The Love Run 5K is more than just a race—it’s a statement that domestic violence has no place in our community. We look forward to seeing you all at the starting line on February 22!
